<\/h1>\n<\/h1>\nThe Ludwigsh\u00f6hviertel is being developed in the south of Darmstadt on the 34-hectare site of the Cambrai Fritsch Barracks and the Jefferson Settlement, which were previously used for military purposes. The old barracks site offers great development potential for a lively and diverse urban quarter. Approximately 15 hectares are available for housing, which will be developed with about 1400 flats.<\/p>\n
MuP Umwelttechnik GmbH has already carried out initial preliminary investigations on the extensive site in 2019 in order to be able to assess the subsoil and groundwater conditions. Recently, MuP Umwelttechnik GmbH conducted an extensive drilling campaign to investigate the subsoil, during which a total of around 60 small pile-driven boreholes and 20 heavy pile-driven soundings were sunk. The in-house geolab carried out soil mechanics tests such as grain size distribution. The results of the subsoil investigation can now be used to assess and recommend planned foundation variants for the later development.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the infiltration capacity of the soils was tested in extensive open-end tests in dredged trenches. Furthermore, a comprehensive waste investigation is planned with the help of excavation trenches. In this way, the resulting earth masses can be immediately recycled or disposed of during the earthworks. MuP Umwelttechnik GmbH accompanies the further construction progress and supports with geotechnical and waste law expertise.<\/p>\n
