In a complex hydrogeological situation in the Meiderich district of Duisburg, the Cologne branch of Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is carrying out a detailed investigation in accordance with the requirements of the BBodSchG. The area under investigation is a former tram depot which, as a result of subsequent commercial use, looks back on a history of almost one hundred years.<\/p>\n

M&P's investigations are aimed in particular at detecting harmful soil changes caused by the previous use. The area is to be put to high-quality residential use, so it must be ensured that the existing soil inventory does not pose a risk to humans or groundwater.<\/p>\n

For this purpose, M&P's experienced experts use various exploration methods - from topsoil sampling to the construction of groundwater measuring points to investigate the groundwater in the area of the property. After the end of the investigations, M&P prepares a needs-based remediation plan in coordination with the responsible municipal authorities.<\/p>\n
