The decommissioned chimney of the boiler house of the Hauptfeldwebel-Lagenstein-Kaserne (former Emmich-Cambrai-Kaserne, recently renamed) is to be dismantled in 2019.<\/p>\n
In advance, the pollutant load of the building materials used (concrete, ceramics, mineral insulation materials) as well as ash and soot deposits had to be examined.<\/p>\n
For sampling, M&P employees created core drillings through the chimney. Since the composition of the soot deposits changes with the height of the flue, sampling at a height of approx. 45 m was also necessary. This took place on a lifting platform.
