New space for the Health Campus in Magdeburg<\/h1>\n

New space on old industrial land - under this motto, a health campus with care, health and training facilities is being built on the site of a former paint factory in Magdeburg.<\/p>\n

The former factory site, which was used for decades for the production of paints and varnishes, is located west of Magdeburg's city centre and has various contaminations of soil and groundwater. The owner, MI Magdeburger Immobiliengesellschaft mbH, selected the former industrial complex close to the city centre for a forward-looking new use. After completion of all necessary work for redevelopment and development, the site is to undergo a complex development as a care and training location.<\/p>\n

Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH Magdeburg has been supporting the development of the site in various areas for several years. Starting with the investigation of the site with regard to the contaminated site situation in 2016, the planning and support of the demolition of the old industrial buildings in 2017\/18 up to the conception and planning of the redevelopment work, which will begin with the second redevelopment stage in September 2020 and which we will support as the representative of the client.<\/p>\n

The engineering services provided included the planning preparations for the deconstruction of more than 50,000 m\u00b3 of enclosed space (object survey, deconstruction planning, preparation and participation in the award of contracts, demolition support and documentation) as well as the conception and planning of the contaminated site situation. Based on the preparation and support of additional investigation work, a comparison of variants, a remediation concept and finally the planning of the necessary remediation measures ready for implementation were carried out. For this purpose, contaminated soil masses were and are being replaced up to the area of the aquifer, so that a safe subsequent use of the site is possible.<\/p>\n
