<\/p>\nThe city of Hagen is currently investing in a more climate-friendly, sustainable future and has (co-)approved several redesign measures for the leisure and tourism sites both in the city area and beyond as part of the \"Development Study River Landscape Middle Ruhr Valley\", an inter-municipal cooperation of the cities of Hattingen, Witten, Wetter (Ruhr), Herdecke and Hagen.<\/p>\n
The aim of the development study is to further develop the Ruhr Valley as a leisure, cultural and tourism landscape. Among other things, the recreational area including the lakeside promenade around the Hengstey family swimming pool on the popular Hengsteysee lake is to be redesigned. To this end, the former marshalling yard area and other sites with contaminated sites are to be developed for a greener future.<\/p>\n
In the area where the Volme flows into the Ruhr, the construction of a five-span cycle path bridge is also planned. The 132 m long Randweg bridge will thus close the gap in the course of the well-known Ruhr Valley cycle path on the south side of the Ruhr from Harkort Lake to Hengstey Lake. The aim is to make the city of Hagen as well as the adjacent leisure area of the Ruhr valley more attractive for pedestrians and cyclists and to increase the share of cycling in the total traffic volume in the coming years.<\/p>\n
Our office in Hagen is proud to be involved in this measure of upgrading the urban area and is happy to support the city of Hagen as well as the Hagener Versorgungs- und Verkehrsbetriebe (GmbH) with its expertise both in hazard assessments and detailed investigations as well as in the overall development of the areas.<\/p>\n
