<\/p>\nEngineering for a better tomorrow: 65% of our drinking water in Germany is obtained from groundwater. In urban areas in particular, however, its purity is endangered by the improper handling of CFCs (volatile hydrocarbons) and CFCs, among other things. MuP Umwelttechnik in Heidelberg ensures clean groundwater again:<\/p>\n
M&P Umwelttechnik plans, builds and operates a remediation plant to remove such groundwater contamination. The individual plant modules are pre-assembled in M&P Umwelttechnik workshops and can thus be quickly installed and commissioned at the site. Concealed in a sea container and protected from the weather, the plant purifies the water extracted from several wells with the help of activated carbon filters. Activated carbon is characterised by a large specific surface area and is therefore well suited for absorbing and binding various pollutants.<\/p>\n
In addition to the activated carbon filters, various intermediate tanks and gravel filters as well as pumps, blowers, valves and measuring instruments are required. Several sampling points make it possible to continuously check the cleaning performance of the system during later operation. If the activated carbon in the first of the two filter containers is completely loaded with pollutants, the filter material is disposed of properly and replaced by fresh carbon. The second, so-called \"police filter\" ensures that no pollutants are released into the environment at any time.<\/p>\n
The control technology, which controls the pumps and valves and thus ensures smooth operation around the clock, can be monitored and adjusted remotely via a mobile phone connection to save costs.<\/p>\n
