Mull und Partner D\u00fcsseldorf accompanies complex inner-city building deconstruction<\/h1>\n

In D\u00fcsseldorf, in the immediate vicinity of the old town and directly on the busy north-south connection Heinrich-Heine-Allee, the construction of a new office and commercial building by 6B47 Germany GmbH is planned. Due to the inner-city location with directly adjoining neighbouring buildings, the underground running below the street and the limited space available, extensive preliminary planning was necessary.<\/p>\n

Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft D\u00fcsseldorf has been involved in the planning with regard to the deconstruction of the current building stock and the building ground since 2018. In addition to the preparation of a deconstruction concept including a pollutant register, the services also included the preliminary geotechnical investigations and the preparation of a subsoil investigation with foundation consulting.<\/p>\n

On the basis of the investigations, M&P drafted the tender documents for the deconstruction and excavation support and provided the client with technical support for the awarding of the contract.<\/p>\n

The remediation of pollutants and gutting of the old building, which has been underway since spring 2020, as well as the subsequent controlled deconstruction, are continuously monitored by experts. Due to the short distance to the Rhine and the resulting significant groundwater fluctuations, groundwater monitoring is also being carried out. The above-ground dismantling has been successfully completed in the meantime, and the work for the construction of the excavation pit is currently underway.<\/p>\n
