Welcome to the team ... geologist Carolin Hoffmann!<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Carolin studied geology at the Free University of Berlin and specialised in hydrogeology, with a focus on hydrochemistry, during her studies.<\/p>\n

During an internship at the Geoforschungszentrum Potsdam, she was able to gain valuable practical experience in the field of hydrology. She worked on groundwater-seawater interaction in the Mecklenburg Lake District to explore possible causes for falling lake water levels.<\/p>\n

As a working student, Carolin deepened her expertise in the field of agricultural field irrigation and worked on a wide variety of geoecological issues such as environmental impact assessment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In her master's thesis, she worked on column experiments to identify hydrogeochemical processes in the groundwater fluctuation range and researched possible causes for increased sulphate concentrations in groundwater.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of January, Carolin has been supporting the team at the Berlin branch as a project manager.<\/p>\n
