Geothermal Check - the first step towards climate-neutral real estate <\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Climate Protection Plan 2050 summarises the Federal Government's climate policy principles and goals. It describes the path to a largely greenhouse gas-neutral Germany.<\/p>\n

The real estate sector plays a central role in the Climate Protection Plan. In addition to the long-term goal, it is also necessary to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approx. 66 % by 2030 compared to 1990. In order to achieve this very ambitious goal, the use of environmental heat is required. The most effective and sustainable form of environmental heat is geothermal heat, which can also be used cost-effectively on many properties.<\/p>\n

According to the German Energy Agency (DENA), only 800,000 heat pump systems were operated in residential buildings in 2018. However, depending on the scenario, up to 7.9 million heat pumps are needed by 2030 and up to 16.7 million heat pumps by 2050 to achieve the climate targets.<\/p>\n
